STEM Expo was held on Wednesday, November 30, 2011 for the North Minneapolis Public
Schools grades 7-10. Students and their families got the opportunity to explore careers in STEM
and learn more about programs to help them prepare for high school and beyond and increase
their interest in STEM. The STEM Expo Exhibit Fair highlighted after-school and community
STEM activities along with hands-on activities and a performance stage where everyone could
take part in science demonstrations. The morning and afternoon sessions served over 1,000
students and the evening session was open to the community, including families who
participated in this successful event for people of all ages.
