2016 Adult Pathways to Postsecondary Forums

Adult Basic Education (ABE) and Minnesota State Colleges and Universities (MnSCU) are partnering to offer two regional forums, Adult Pathways to Postsecondary – Aligning ABE, MnSCU Campuses & Community Partners for Student Success. These forums will provide information and planning time for local colleges and universities to learn how other MnSCU institutions are currently partnering with ABE providers to expand opportunities for students to access postsecondary credit-bearing career pathways.  During the 2014-2015 academic year, regional events were held to convene campus faculty and leadership with their local ABE partners to explore opportunities to collaborate.  This year we will be convening at two campuses with developed ABE partnerships. The forums will showcase campuses with promising ABE partnerships, share legislation/policy updates, and highlight promising ABE/postsecondary practices including co-teaching, supplemental instruction partnerships and embedded ABE programming on the college campus. Participants will have time to explore new opportunities to collaborate with ABE, MnSCU campuses, Career Technical Education, workforce development, and other community partners serving adult learners.

We invite you to assemble a strategic team to participate in one or both of these upcoming free forums. Use this link/flyer for details the dates, goals, and registration information.

If you have any questions, please contact Jessica Espinosa or Julie Dincau.
