DESCRIPTION:Description\nQM’s flagship workshop on the QM Rubric and its use in reviewing the design of online and blended courses is intended for a broad audience\, including but not limited to faculty\, instructional designers\, administrators\, and adjunct instructors. It is particularly helpful to those new to QM or those considering the adoption of a quality assurance process for online and blended learning. \nIn addition to learning about the QM Rubric and the course review process\, participants will learn to apply the concept of alignment and draft helpful recommendations for course improvement. \n\n\nLearning Objectives\n\nAfter completing this workshop\, participants will be able to: \n\nRecognize the foundational concepts of Quality Matters.\nIdentify the critical elements of the QM quality assurance program\, including the QM Rubric\, materials\, processes\, and administrative components.\nApply the QM Rubric to review online courses.\nMake decisions on whether the demo course meets selected QM Rubric Standards.\nApply the concept of alignment.\nDraft helpful recommendations for course improvement by citing annotations from the QM Rubric and evidence from the course.\n\n\n\n\nPrerequisites\n\nNone \n\n\n\nWhat Participants Need\n\nApproximately 7-8 hours per week \nDuration\nTwo Weeks \n\nQuestions? SUMMARY:Creating Accessible Documents - 3 week short course begins
DESCRIPTION:This three week short course provides faculty and staff and opportunity to practice make digital materials accessible to those who use a screen reader. The course will introduce participants to basic techniques for using tools available in the Microsoft Office suite including Word and PowerPoint.  Additionally\, participants will get an opportunity to updated web pages posted to a D2L Brightspace course site using the provided HTML editor in Brightspace. \n5 hours per week will be expected to earn a course completion certificate \nRSVP Below\nThe instructor will be in contact with you prior to the start of the course. \nThis is a part of the Digital Accessibility Awareness and Skill Development Series.\nView other events in the series. \nQuestions?
