Minnesota State is offering several opportunities for students\, faculty\, and staff to engage in practices designed to improve the functioning of our democracy during today’s polarized times.\n\n View other events in the seriesWith the People\n\n\nDescription\nAs Americans prepare to go to the polls on November 3\, 2020\, many voters worry about the integrity of the election process. Recent polls show that four in ten Americans question the fairness of the U.S. voting system. Fully 41 percent say that the U.S. is not prepared to keep the November 2020 election safe and secure. Will we be able to cast our ballots on election day? Will our votes be accurately counted? Will our voting systems be hacked or otherwise manipulated? And will the elections be decided by voters or\, as in the recent past\, be thrown to the courts or the Electoral College? \nJoin this forum to discuss options for what we should do to ensure equal justice and fair treatment in our communities\, offered exclusively for Minnesota State students\, faculty\, and staff in partnership with the National Issues Forum Institute’s With The People initiative! \nFree Resource \n VotingHow Should We Safeguard and Improve our Elections?\n\n This is a text-based forumA forum is a nonpartisan\, moderated\, interactive discussion around a central question or topic.
