SUMMARY:NED Partnership: Accessibility Core Competencies – IAAP Cohort (Spring 2026)
DESCRIPTION:What’s this about?\nAs a Minnesota State faculty or staff member\, you get a free membership to the International Association of Accessibility Professionals (IAAP). This includes access to the Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies (CPACC) prep course. \nYou don’t need to take the CPACC exam to benefit from this course. It’s a great way to build your understanding of accessibility and learn practical concepts that help everyone. \nJoin a supportive learning group! This cohort will meet monthly to discuss the course\, share ideas\, and take action together. \nOutcomes\nBy the end of this cohort\, you’ll be able to: \n\nTalk about disabilities\, challenges\, and assistive technologies.\nRecognize accessibility and universal design practices.\nReflect on accessibility standards\, laws\, and strategies.\nGet ready to take a CPACC practice exam.\n\nSchedule\nWe will meet four times on Zoom for discussion and collaboration. Each meeting is one hour. Find all the meeting details in our MnSite D2L Brightspace course. \n\nMonday\, January 26 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.\nTuesday\, February 24 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.\nMonday March 30 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.\nMonday April 20 at 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.\n\nAccommodations\nThe NED is committed to providing universal access to all of our events\, we’d like to discover how we can make the event more inclusive so you can fully participate! \nMachine generated captions are available in real-time for all Zoom events\, however human generated CART (live caption) service and ASL interpretation can be requested with advanced notice (2 weeks) to make the event more accessible. \nPlease\, let us know of any disability-related accommodations that will facilitate your full participation. \n Request Accommodations\nQuestions?\nContact the Network for Educational Development. \nRegistration Required\nUse the RSVP tool below to register. After registering\, a calendar invite will be sent to you as a reminder of the event start date.
