SUMMARY:NED Partnership Workshop: QM and Equitable Teaching – Creating Presence in Your Online Course (Fall 2024)
DESCRIPTION:Nov. 4 – Dec. 1\, 2024\nShort Course\nJoin a 4-week NED partnership workshop offered through Quality Matters (QM). \nQM: Creating Presence in Your Online Course – Participants in this QM facilitated workshop will learn how to create three types of presence in online courses: instructor\, social\, and cognitive. \nFormat:\nThe partnership workshop includes synchronous and asynchronous experiences. The synchronous sessions are facilitated by a Minnesota State colleague to center equity-minded teaching and applying learning to your contexts. \n\nWeek 1: NED course and Zoom welcome meeting  (2-3 hours estimated time)\nWeeks 2 and 3: QM partnership workshop (hosted in their platform\, 14 hours estimated time)\nWeek 4: NED course and Zoom conclusion meeting (2-3 hours estimated time)\n\nNote: Registration ends Oct. 28\, 2024 to facilitate enrollment in QM’s platform and QM requires a minimum of 10 participants to run this workshop. \nLearning Outcomes:\n\nReflect on equity-minded teaching.\nEngage in a QM workshop (topic of workshop above).\nApply equity-minded practices to your own course design.\n\nHow to Register\n1. IMPORTANT PRE-REGISTRATION STEP\nLog in or create your MyQM account – this will ensure access to the partnership workshop on their platform. \n2. REGISTER BELOW\nUse the RSVP tool below to register.
