Eight metro area MnSCU colleges collaborate on a regional summit focusing on “Rethinking Textbooks – Affordable Learning Resources”

Inver Hills Community College is hosting a regional summit focusing on alternative and affordable textbook options. Eight metro area colleges are collaborating for a full day summit to explore changes in external environmental factors impacting learning resources and student experiences, strategies to increase student success, and cost saving textbook alternatives that provide flexibility to students. There will be a wide variety of speakers and panel discussions including students, faculty, and metro area college bookstore leaders.

Discover how you can help student’s save money and improve student learning outcomes. Please join us on Tuesday, October 14 from 9:00am-3:00pm for a look into what students want and need to help make them successful, what alternatives your colleagues are successfully using, and what the Metro Bookstores are doing to help. Come for a session or two, network with colleagues over free lunch, or stay for the day – lots of alternatives!

Location: Inver Hills Community College – Located just 1.5 miles south of I-494 in Inver Grove Heights on Highway 52. Exit at the 80th Street exit and go east one block to Blaine Ave. Take a right and travel south to our campus. Park free in any of the campus lots. Click here for a map.
