Join “Foundations of Teaching Online,” a long course offered by the Network for Educational Development. This eight week, online course will guide participants through developing and delivering high quality online and blended courses and assist faculty with integrating technologies into all modes of course delivery. Developed by a team of faculty and staff from around the system, this course provides participants the chance to work within our Minnesota State community.
The course will be hosted on D2L Brightspace with opportunities to connect via Zoom and from September 8 – November 8, 2020. There is limited space, sign up today!
Course Learning Objectives:
- Construct a course schedule, template, or outline that includes at least one learning objective for each module for your course.
- Create an alignment map with your learning objective(s), assessment tool, learning activities, and materials.
- Develop one assessment tool that will measure or evaluate your intended learning outcome(s).
- Develop plans for your course that includes one instructional strategy for each of three elements of the community of inquiry framework (social presence, teaching presence, and cognitive presence).
- Identify elements that improve the accessibility of course materials including documents, webpages, and media.
