Academic and Student Affairs Fall Leadership Conference
October 22-24, 2024
Cragun’s Resort in Brainerd, MN
Minnesota State faculty and staff are invited to submit a session proposal for the 2024 ASA Fall Leadership Conference. The theme for this year’s conference is Making it All Make Sense: Defining Success, Building Momentum, and Adapting for Change.
In alignment with the systemwide work we engage in, session proposals can be related to, but not limited to, any of the following topics:
- Online Strategy: Online education, Open Educational Resources, Z-Degrees)
- Minnesota State Guided Learning Pathways: Career Pathways: non-credit credentials, Curricular alignment, Tackling Transfer (Transfer agreements, Transfer Pathways)
- Early Access: PSEO dual enrollment
- Student Success and Completion: Strategic Enrollment Management, Comprehensive orientation and First-year experience, Holistic advising and comprehensive student support, Student basic needs, Student mental health
- Approaching work through an Equity Lens: Equity 2030, Equity by Design
- Employee Engagement and Leadership Development: workforce and talent diversity, employee onboarding, retention
Call for Proposals
Submission Dates and Guidelines
- Monday, September 9th – Proposals are Due
- Friday, September 20th – Notifications sent for selected proposals
Presenters need to be available to present in-person for any of the conference dates. Concurrent sessions will be scheduled for 45-90 minutes. Presenters are encouraged to offer sessions which maximize opportunities for community-building, discussion, and collaboration.
Session proposals should include:
- Presentation title
- Topic area
- Preferred session length
- Name, title, and institutions for all presenters
- Any accommodations requested for presenters
- 100-word abstract summarizing the topic and learning objective of the presentation
- Suggested format (roundtable discussion; presentation with Q&A; panel discussion)
Other Ways to Contribute
We may need volunteers to host or facilitate roundtable and panel discussions. If you are interested in participating in this way, please fill out the volunteer form.
