Exploring Flexible Course Delivery Workshop
November 21-22, 2024
In-Person Workshop: Minneapolis College
This interactive 2-day workshop is designed to explore flexible course delivery and is offered through the Network for Educational Development (NED).
Participants will examine the benefits and challenges of various flexible delivery methods, including HyFlex, bi-modal, and tri-modal approaches.
Attendees will also workshop equitable teaching, technology tools, and evidence-based strategies for crafting effective Flexible courses that resonate with today’s learners.
Workshop Learning Objectives
After completing the workshop, participants will be able to:
- Define Flexible course delivery (HyFlex, multi-modal, bi-modal, tri-modal) and explain why it’s important.
- Explore technology and pedagogical considerations of Flexible course delivery
- Identify equity-minded techniques and strategies that support student success in a Flexible class based on the Four Values of learner choice, equivalency, reusability, and accessibility.
- Develop a fully articulated implementation plan for Flexible course design and technology.
Expense Reimbursement
The training provides mileage, lodging, and catered meals for participants – as is allowed under expense reimbursement policies.
Application Required
Participants are asked to share what they learn in the workshop with their campus in some way.
Because of expense reimbursement and campus sharing, we ask that interested folks complete a brief application (6 questions). This selection process also seeks to support opportunities across the system, aiming for balance in bargaining unit representation.
Please complete the application form for the Exploring Flexible Course Delivery Workshop by October 20, 2024! You can expect to hear back from us about your application in late October.
