Ensure that your web forms can be understood and operated by using a keyboard alone.
Why?
Users who cannot use a mouse may only be able to navigate web pages with their keyboard.
How?
Make your online forms as easy as possible to complete for everybody.
Test your forms using the following questions:
- Use the tab key to navigate your form, is each field accessible and usable?
- When the form is magnified to the point where the form switches to a mobile-friendly format, are the form’s labels close enough to the field to still be understood?
- Are the fields’ labels meaningful enough for users to clearly know what to do?
- Are required fields clearly indicated?
- Is there sufficient color contrast in the form?
