Short Course

Description

In this class, participants are expected to bring a specific Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) Inquiry Question and preliminary literature review of the topic. From there, participants will explore evidence approaches (e.g., quantitative, qualitative, and mixed-methods), select an appropriate tool from that evidence approach, determine the parameters of the study, and create a data collection and analysis plan for their SoTL Research Question.

Faculty (Full-time and part-time), Instructional Designers and Technologists, Faculty Developers/Trainers, staff, and Concurrent Enrollment Instructors.

Estimated Time Commitment 

Most participants are able to complete this course by committing 4-6 hours per week.
