Digging into Wise Feedback (Summer 2025)

NED: Foundations

We know that we assess because we want to see what students are learning. Feedback on those assessments plays a critical role in learning. It can be an opportunity to reinforce ideas in the course content and assure students know they can meet expectations. Indicating whether something is correct or incorrect is only a start: what other elements can we include in our feedback to encourage students and lead them to competence with the content? Let’s talk about strategies for giving wise feedback that are beneficial and mindful of workload concerns.

Accommodations

The NED is committed to providing universal access to all of our events, we’d like to discover how we can make the event more inclusive so you can fully participate!

Machine generated captions are available in real-time for all Zoom events, however human generated CART (live caption) service and ASL interpretation can be requested with advanced notice (2 weeks) to make the event more accessible.

Please, let us know of any disability-related accommodations that will facilitate your full participation.
