How do you really know that your students are learning what you had intended? In this course, you will examine the assessments in your course and assure they effectively and equitably measure student achievement. Key topics include:

Course Learning Objectives

After completing the course, participants will be able to:

  1. Align an assessment tool with a learning objective to measure student learning. 
  2. Create an assessment aligned with a learning objective. 
  3. Create a rubric to support equitable outcomes. 
  4. Build an equitable and aligned assessment plan.

Prior to beginning this course, you should complete the following activities:

Faculty (Full-time and part-time), Instructional Designers and Technologists, and Faculty Developers/Trainers, Assessment Coordinators, Institutional Researchers.

Reflect on your Professional Development

As you progress through this course, please consider how you can use the assignments as a way to highlight your work on your Professional Development Plan. Consider sharing your work with your leadership team.

Estimated Time Commitment

Most participants are able to complete this course by committing 4-6 hours per week.
