Generative AI Workshop Series

Does the rapid emergence of generative AI applications like ChatGPT have you rethinking your course assignments? Have you moved from, “What’s ChatGPT?” to “How do I encourage authentic writing when all of my students are using ChatGPT?”

Join us this summer for a series of conversations about the impact of generative AI on writing assignments. We will focus on a specific type of assignment each month: online discussions, essays and other long-answer assignments, and lab and study reports.

Register for each session of the three-part series:

Essays and Long Answer Assignments

Generative AI Workshop Series

Generative AI can roll out original essays with astonishing speed and clarity of structure. In this session, we will discuss strategies for re-examining the purpose, timeline, and follow-up activities for your writing assignments that will deepen students’ connections to the topic, and either subvert the interest in using generative AI, or to facilitate working alongside it.
