Teaching and Learning Competency: Two Weekend Hybrid (Fall 2026)

In-Person: Note, you must attend both weekends in the same semester

Location: South Metro, MN

This two weekend hybrid course fulfills, in part, the Teaching and Learning Competency requirements. The requirements apply to Minnesota State college faculty completing the System Procedure 3.32.1, Part 8.

  • Each hybrid intensive is 2 weekends, with about a month in between each weekend.

  • The weekends are in-person Saturday and Sunday (8 a.m. to 6 p.m. both days), plus online learning.

  • Take the hybrid to complete 6 courses (Competencies 1, 2, and 3).

  • Philosophy of Community and Technical Education is only offered online asynchronously (Competency 4).
  • Free! The Two Weekend Hybrid is provided at no cost, however faculty are responsible for their own travel, meals, lodging, etc. expenses.

Minnesota State college faculty completing the System Procedure 3.32.1, Part 8 Teaching and Learning Competencies.
