The Career and Technical Education (CTE) Summit is Minnesota’s largest conference convening CTE educators, leaders, community partners, workforce, and business and industry in K-12 and higher education.

Josefina Landrieu | Equity Thought Leader

Dr. Josefina Landrieu

Josefina Landrieu, PhD serves as the Vice President of Equity and Inclusion at Metro State University. As the vice president she provides leadership related to the university’s strategic goal of operationalizing equity, inclusion and anti-racism principles throughout the university to improve student and employee success. She oversees investigations of complaints of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation and in partnership with Human Resources develops, implements, and monitors strategies to improve recruitment, retention, and inclusion of diverse employees. In addition, Dr. Landrieu is also an adjunct faculty in the Multicultural Supervision Certificate at Dakota County Technical College. See Josefina’s bio.


Liz Williams | Visionary Change Agent

Liz Williams

Liz is the Associate Director of Innovation initiatives at Greater Twin Cities United Way. Through Career Academies, Liz and her team collaborate with school districts, post-secondary partners, workforce, and policymakers to reimagine school systems as a catalyst for community wealth building. Liz brings to her work a focus on student voice, equity and purpose driven pathways for wealth building in underserved communities. Liz has years of classroom experience in both urban and rural settings including teaching at Ch’ooshgai Community School with the Bureau of Indian Education and managing authorization of a charter school while serving as Education Outreach coordinator at Wolf Ridge Environmental Learning Center. Liz has a master’s degree from the Harvard School of Education, which houses the Pathways to Prosperity Network and Jobs for the Future (JFF), a national Career Pathways partner. See Liz’s bio.


CTE Summit Partners: The Minnesota Centers of Excellence

Minnesota State hosts eight Centers of Excellence – each serving a major industry that faces serious workforce challenges. The centers collaborate with industry and educators to attract and prepare students for success in high-demand careers.

The Centers of Excellence will host a charging station for attendees at the CTE Summit.
