2025 NED Teaching and Learning Conference: Call for Proposals

NED Teaching and Learning Conference

September 25 – 26, 2025

In-person (Minnesota State University Moorhead) and Online

The Network for Educational Development (NED) invites proposals for the 2025 NED Teaching and Learning Conference, which will be held in-person at Minnesota State University Moorhead and online on September 25 – 26, 2025.

Promoting Equity through Data Practices

Conference theme

At the mid-point of our Equity 2030 goal to eliminate equity gaps by 2030, we recommit to promoting equity through data-powered reflection, collaboration, and action. We approach equity gap data with an open and curious mindset as it can serve as a motivation for close-to-practice observation. Using those observations, we collaborate with colleagues and students to devise new processes, practices, and personas toward closing gaps. Inspired by the persistence of our students, we pursue our sustainable progress on our statewide, institutional, departmental, and personal equity journeys.

About the NED Teaching and Learning Conference

The NED Teaching and Learning Conference is an opportunity for educators to share their evidence-based experiences and learn from each other as we explore the theme Promoting Equity through Data Practices. The conference also provides opportunities for networking and collaboration among educators from different colleges and universities.

The conference will be held in-person and virtually. Participants can choose to attend both in-person at Minnesota State University Moorhead and virtual sessions, as some in-person sessions will be streamed to accommodate online attendees.

The conference is sponsored by the Academic and Student Affairs (ASA) Educational Development Committee.

Call for Proposals

The NED Teaching and Learning Conference Committee seeks proposals for sessions that provide attendees with the tools and resources needed to reposition, rethink, and revitalize systems and selves, and that are grounded in research and supported by evidence.

Proposals will be accepted in 3 formats:

FormatProposal Format Description
50-minute session Every 50-minute session will include active engagement by participants and substantial time for conversation. This type of session may include a panel discussion format. We encourage student co-facilitators.
Roundtable discussion Roundtable presenters will facilitate a conversation around a topic robust enough to sustain a 50-minute discussion. Presenters should bring targeted questions to pose so those at the table can learn from and with each other. Roundtables are an ideal format for networking and in-depth discussion on a particular topic.
Poster session Poster presenters will have a designated time for conversation.

Additional Call for Proposal Details
