Supporting our Military Connected Students is an educational development webinar series designed to enhance the understanding and support of military connected students within our academic community.

This series features four webinars:

Campus Climate for Military Connected Students

February 7, 2025 @ 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

This session will explore the critical supports, resources, and best practices that contribute to the success of veterans, service members, and their families at our colleges and universities.

Classroom Strategies for Military Connected Students

March 3, 2025 @ 1:00 – 2:30 p.m.

This session will provide practical approaches for educators to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment for military connected students in the classroom and beyond.

Exploring Credit for Prior Learning and Military Connected Students

February 27, 2025 @ 1:30 – 2:30 p.m.

Learn more about the processes and benefits of recognizing military experience as academic credit.

From the Margins

April 2025

Examining Military Service From the Margins will bring together Veterans and civilians to examine the experiences of female, Black, American Indian, LGBT, and immigrant service members across U.S. history, and the complicated dynamics behind serving a country that does not always serve you in return.

This is a 4-part event facilitated by the Minnesota Humanities Center.
