The Career and Technical Summit is Minnesota’s largest conference convening career and technical education leaders, educators, community partners, workforce, business and industry, and K-12 and higher education. The Summit serves as a platform for learning, sharing best practices, addressing critical issues in CTE, raising awareness, and discussing current trends in education.

Your Expertise, Our Stage: Call for Proposals is Open

Submit a proposal by September 19, 2025.

Successful proposals strive to: 

• Address current issues and trends impacting career and technical education.
• Expand people’s thinking. What hasn’t this audience heard or considered?
• Be practical and actionable. What can be implemented right now?
• Be bold. Bold is courageous, able to take risks, and confident.

Additional Details

• The concurrent sessions are 60 minutes.
• If accepted, you will be assigned a time slot at the discretion of the conference organizers.
• If your proposal is accepted, all presenters/co-presenters must register for the Summit and pay a discounted registration fee ($75) per person.
• All presenters, including any co-presenters, must pay for their own travel and lodging costs and other incidental expenses.

Notification of Acceptance 

• September 19, 2025: Deadline to submit a proposal.
• September 26, 2025: Notifications will go out to the primary presenter only. 
• It’s the role of the primary presenter to notify their co-presenters.

New This Year: Post-Summit Special Session 

Collaboration Across Differences in STEM Fields
November 13 from 12:30 – 3:00 p.m.

Join the IDEAL Center from the Science Museum of Minnesota for an interactive workshop to examine the beliefs, values, and norms in Education, Academic and STEM and their impact on access, engagement, and participation. This session will provide strategies for productive teamwork and collaboration in the classroom and beyond and to advance leadership and action to transform our communities and institutions to be more inclusive, equitable, and accessible. 

Registration Fee: $50
Register for the post-summit special session. This opportunity is open to a maximum of 50 people.
