Ask C-PLAN Webinar: Take Action on CPL Policy

What to Fix, Clarify, and Strengthen

May 21, 2026

2:00 to 3:00 p.m.

There will be time for more discussion from 3:00 to 3:30 p.m.

Join us for an interactive webinar focused on improving Credit for Prior Learning (CPL) policy across Minnesota State.

Are you preparing to revise your campus CPL policies, actively working through updates, or ready to share what’s working (and what isn’t)? This session is designed to move from discussion to action.

Come prepared to share real examples, raise specific questions, and surface challenges you’re facing in implementing CPL policy on your campus.

Together we will:

  • Identify gaps, inconsistencies, and confusing elements in current CPL policy
  • Explore where system and campus level policy can be clarified or strengthened
  • Pinpoint opportunities to expand CPL policy in ways that support student success and simplify navigation for learners and staff
  • Generate practical insights and recommendations that can inform future policy improvements

Gary Hunter, System Director for Policy, Procedure, and Intellectual Property, will join us to provide a systemwide perspective and engage directly with campus questions and ideas.

This webinar is a working session for advancing CPL policy and practice across the 33 Minnesota State campuses — your voice and experience are essential.
