Streaming media is playing an increasingly critical role in delivering curriculum for our campuses. This demand for online video services is growing rapidly as are the resources needed to sustain these services. The University of Minnesota, Minnesota State Colleges and Universities System and the Learning Network of Minnesota have come together to provide a unified solution to this need. Through an RFPprocess, a cloud-based media management system has been selected and will be phased into usage over the next three years. The product selected is Kaltura and integration work with Minnesota State Colleges and Universities, System Office, Academic and Student Affairs Division.
Desire2Learn will be the first phase of the implementation process. Institutions will work with their regional Learning Network partner and with the Minnesota State Colleges & Universities in the implementation of this solution on their campuses.
