Classroom, Event Management, and Resource Scheduling (CEMRS)— Progress continues on the CEMRS project. Contract negotiations are under way and we expect to have a system wide license agreement signed by the end of March. The budget has been finalized. The financing approach on this project is to have all institutions contribute to the cost of the software and operations.
The task force continues their work. The group has had a couple of meetings and will have a detailed overview of the EMS Campus product. This overview will help them understand what recommendations they will need to bring to the steering committee around policy, procedure, training, implementation, and support of a system wide implementation of the EMS Campus tool.
A key contact group has been formed with representatives from each institution. This group will include the key contact at each college/university, and they are meeting and receiving training to understand the processes and procedures proposed for system wide reporting and ISRS integration, as well as to understand the implications for their college or university of task force recommendations, and keep current on the progress of the project and participate in update meetings.
