Life-Online, An Introduction Course to Online Learning

This course is a collaborative effort of several MnSCU colleges and universities. The project is being coordinated by eServices – MnSCU System Office.  It is available free on the web at http://WebExplorations.com/life-online.

The course covers five critical areas including:

  • Learning D2L
  • File Management and Computer Skills
  • Time Management
  • Getting focus. Keeping focus.
  • Collaborating on the Web

Each module is stand-alone and can be taught either face-to-face or online. In addition, many of the learning objects used in the course are available for faculty to adapt as part of their own course materials from the Minnesota Learning Commons Repository.

This class has been used as part of First Year Experience course, as a FastTRAC course and as a part of several MnSCU faculty. Links to the course are included in the GPS LifePlan.
