January 2013 CEMRS Update

January 2013 CEMRS Update Classroom, Event Management, and Resource Scheduling (CEMRS) The first 5 schools are up and running on EMS Campus. The November group is half way through training and configuration. They plan to be pointing to production ISRS in early March. So far things are going well. Everyone is busy with the tight training and configuration schedule during spring start up.

The February group is getting ready for their kickoff meeting on February, 19 at the Quarry Center in St. Cloud. The fifteen schools in the February group are:

Alexandria Technical & Community College, Anoka Technical College, Century College, Hennepin Technical College, Lake Superior College, Minnesota State Community & Technical College Minnesota State University, Moorhead Minnesota West Community & Technical College Itasca Community College Mesabi Range Community & Technical College Ridgewater College Riverland Community College Southwest Minnesota State University St. Cloud State University St. Cloud Technical & Community College.

Once the February group is complete we will have transitioned everyone using R25. There will be nine schools left in the May group. Everyone should be done with the training and configuration by September.

Our training environment is ready to go. We will use the training environment for the February and May groups. A big thanks to the infrastructure team to get this environment ready.

The help desk is supporting the EMS product. Calls and tickets are coming in and getting turned around quickly. We have also migrated the SharePoint 2007 project site to SharePoint 2010. Anyone within the MnSCU system has access to the site using their StarID: https://connect.mnscu.edu/Sites/CEMRS. Check it out for more information on the project.
