Itasca Survey: Action Requested

The following survey request was sent out to all MnSCU Presidents, CAOs, Deans and CECT administrators on 2/5.

Please fill out this quick survey to help improve alignment between employer work force needs & higher education.

The Itasca Workforce Alignment Team is comprised of employers, educators, state agencies, and the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce and is co-chaired by MnSCU Chancellor Steven Rosenstone and Schwan CHRO Scott Peterson. The team is making progress on designing a workforce planning system to achieve two primary objectives:

1.      Enable employers to articulate and communicate anticipated work force skill needs to educational institutions and learners.

2.      Provide the information that our colleges and universities in the state need to develop and expand the supply of graduates with the skills needed to meet the workforce needs of employers.

A key step in the project is to develop a baseline understanding of the data and functionality educators would find most valuable in a system like this.

To aid in this effort, we are asking academic leaders to complete the brief survey of workforce needs on the hyperlink that follows by February 11th.

The compiled results will help the Itasca Workforce Alignment Team better understand how to organize workforce data, determine educators’ and employers’ needs and stay on track to have a  workforce planning system prototype designed by late spring. This summer we plan to communicate how educators and employers can support and access the system as part of your work force planning efforts.

If there are questions regarding the survey please contact Sam Reid at<>.

Thank you for your help.
