Classroom, Event Management, and Resource Scheduling (CEMRS)
Colleges and Universities continue their progress toward systemwide implementation of EMS Campus. The 13 schools in the first two groups are up and running with production systems pulling data from production ISRS. Training and configuration for the 15 schools in the February group is well under way. Planning for the May group kickoff will be starting shortly. For a list of the colleges/universities and the groups they are involved in see the EMS Campus Rollout List on the SharePoint site: https://connect.mnscu.edu/sites/CEMRS.
As part of our contract with DEA, the MnSCU system received 3 free registrations to their annual conference in September. The steering committee reviewed submissions from people across the system to receive the free registrations with the expectation that winners will do a presentation of what they learned at a user group meeting. The winners of the free registrations are:
Kirsten Fabozzi, North Hennepin Community College; Chad Haatvedt, Itasca Community College; and Erica Johnson, MSU, Mankato. Congratulations to Kirsten, Chad, and Erica. We are looking forward to hearing about what you learned at the conference.
Speaking of user groups, a Scheduler’s Consortium has been created to help schools share best practices about EMS Campus. The next meeting of the group will be at Normandale Community College on April 3. A big thanks to Heidi Anderson at South Central College and Meg Giesen at Minneapolis Community and Technical College for getting this group started.
