We are pleased to announce Laura Griffin as the Reverse Transfer Specialist for the Credit When It’s Due Reverse Transfer project who will be working in the system office.
Laura recently worked as an online advisor with the Minnesota Online Support Center in Perham, where she worked with a wide variety of Minnesota education platforms including Minnesota Online, eFolio Minnesota, Minnesota Learning Commons, Graduate Minnesota , iSeek, u.select, and GPS LifePlan.
In advising undergraduate transfer students in a degree completion program designed for individuals wanting to teach within the field of career and technical education, Laura worked closely with students regarding course planning, registration, progress toward degree completion, and transfer of coursework.
Credit When It’s Due is a $500,000 Lumina grant that the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities received to identify and award associate degrees for students who attended a two-year college and transferred to a four-year university, but didn’t complete the associate’s degree. You’ll hear more about Credit When It’s Due over the coming months; in the meantime, project details are available at http://www.transfercenter.project.mnscu.edu/ > Reverse Transfer Grant–Credit When It’s Due
