Legislation passed in 2011 required implementation of the Smart Transfer Plan by system colleges and universities by June 30, 2013. The transfer unit is currently reviewing system college and university websites, and a status report will be sent to each chief academic officer in the next 1-2 months. The results will inform the annual legislative report about the status of transfer in the system, which will be presented in February, 2014.
A reminder that the Smart Transfer Plan was developed to address findings from the 2010 Student Transfer study as well as internal and legislative audits calling for each system college and university to improve transfer processes and information.
