We are pleased to announce the appointment of Jessica Espinosa as the Coordinator of College Transitions and FastTRAC in the Academic and Student Affairs division of the system office. Jessica has broad experience in both K-12 and post-secondary education settings.
Most recently, Jessica served as Elementary and Secondary Education Act Coordinator with the Minneapolis Public schools, reviewing and evaluating ESEA plans, program documentation and budgets for 32 low-performing schools and alternative education programs. Prior to this, she was Dual Enrollment Specialist in the Center for Postsecondary Success of the Minnesota Department of Education, where she administered state-funded programs including Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate, Postsecondary Enrollment Options, and concurrent enrollment. Jessica has also served as Retention Coordinator in The Power of You program at Saint Paul College, and as Recruitment and Retention Specialist and Interim Director of the College Access Program at Minnesota State University, Mankato. She has also taught a First Year/Students in Transition course for students at Minneapolis Community College.
Jessica has a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish and Secondary Education and an Education Specialist degree from Minnesota State University, Mankato, along with a Master of Arts degree in Education from St. Mary’s University.
