You are invited to join us for the second concert in this year’s Music Series at Saint Paul College.
On Thursday, November 14 at 7:30 pm we welcome pianist Luke Norell.
A native of rural Minnesota, Luke Norell made his solo debut at age 17 with the Southwest Minnesota Orchestra. His prizes include first place awards in the Schubert Club Competition, the Bunny Just Piano Festival Competition, the Northwestern College Concerto Competition, and the Third Biennial Lee Piano Competition. He has concertized internationally as soloist and chamber musician from Vienna, Austria to Panama City, Panama, and also performs frequently with his wife, pianist Mary Rose Norell in the Norell Duo. An active teacher, Luke serves each summer on the faculty of the Young Artist World Piano Festival and the Northwestern College Piano Institute in the Twin Cities. Most recently, he received the Doctor of Music degree in Piano Performance from the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, where his teacher was the distinguished American pianist André Watts.
A reception will follow the evening performance.
