The use of student internships continues to increase. This session will offer guidance and resources on common legal issues arising from internships, including if and when to use a contract; United States Department of Labor regulations pertaining to unpaid internships; liability and risk management; state authorization issues for out-of-state internships; and recent Minnesota legislation.
Intended Audience – Academic and Student Affairs Staff and Deans and Directors for academic programs with internships. Presented by Assistant General Counsel Scott Goings.
