Minnesota State Colleges and Universities has a position open for a Career Technical Education Professional Development Director. The CTE Professional Development Director will direct, develop and manage system professional development programs providing comprehensive sustainable professional development for career and technical education teachers, faculty, administrators and career guidance and academic counselors at the postsecondary and secondary levels that support activities described in the Minnesota State Career and Technical Education Plan and as required for the federal Carl D. Perkins Career Technical Education Act 2006. The CTE Professional Development Director –working with a diversity of educational and community partners—initiates, researches, synthesizes, develops, communicates, implements and evaluates professional development programs, guidelines, standards, data and reports. The CTE Professional Development Director provides professional development services to the System Office and institutions related to pre-service and in-service education and technical assistance related to consortium and state performance on accountability indicators. The person in this position has high levels of discretion, wide ranges of latitude, and great degrees of flexibility in performing the duties, tasks and responsibilities of the position.
