It’s my pleasure to announce that the search for a professional to serve as ASA’s new system director and operations manager has concluded and I have selected Brent Glass for this important position, a redesign of Tim Price’s position following his retirement.
Brent has over 16 years of professional experience in higher education. Along with over 7 years in a statewide leadership role focused on academic and student affairs issues, he has over 8 years of campus experience supervising a number of student affairs operations, including placement, student employment, career development, Women’s/LGBTQ center, first year experience, student life, health services, and Student Center operations planning.
Brent comes to the system office from Metropolitan State University where he served as the director of student development. Prior to that he worked at Inver Hills Community College as the director of student life. Earlier in his career he served as the executive director of the Minnesota State College Student Association.
Truly a product of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities System, he holds an A.A. from Northland Community College, a B.S. in criminal justice from Bemidji State University, and an M.S. in higher education administration from St. Cloud State University. He is currently enrolled in the higher education doctoral program at St. Cloud State University.
You may see him in the office prior to his March 17 start date. Please join me in welcoming him!
Prior to St. Patrick’s Day, he can be reached at email@example.com.
