Great Lakes Grant Opportunity

Internships help launch successful careers, providing students with real-world experience and a chance to build connections in their chosen fields. But too many students with financial need miss out because they can’t afford to take unpaid internships.

To help address this issue, Great Lakes Higher Education Guaranty Corporation is inviting four-year nonprofit colleges and universities in Iowa, Minnesota, Ohio, and Wisconsin to apply for their 2014-2015 Career Ready Internship grants. Grants of up to $150,000 each are available to enable colleges to partner with businesses and nonprofits to create paid internships—and level the playing field—for students with any level of financial need.
