I was incredibly impressed with our staff’s presentation of what is ISRS that was given at this year’s IT Conference and thought this was a presentation that needs a larger audience. I think that there are many of us who might look upon ISRS as this big innocuous “thing” that operates in the background of our lives throughout MnSCU but really do not have a handle on what ISRS is and what it does. Moreover, the sheer size and complexity of the system and the improvements that have been made to it over time are something to behold. This is not an advertisement for ISRS and the system is what it is – both what is good and what needs improvement. Rather, it is a thoughtful and well laid out overview of ISRS and a great basis for discussion concerning the system. I highly recommend it to both new employees and seasoned veterans. You might be surprised by what you learn. Please pass this on to anyone that you think might be interested, inside or outside of the system office. While the rooms have semi – limited seating, the webex sessions can be viewed from anywhere.
