I am excited to announce the first in a webinar series designed for us, by us. You may remember a notice out earlier this fall on the series or our discussion on webinar topics during the affinity session at the fall conference. The attached flyer is about the first session on relationships with faculty.
WHEN: January 15, 2015 – 11:00-12:00
Relationships with Faculty
Deans take their jobs because they enjoy working with faculty. Most deans, however, at some point encounter challenges like negotiating new relationships with former peers, maintaining friendly and professional relationships within boundaries, or managing interpersonal conflict. Almost all would like to find productive ways to be leader, coach, supervisor, and colleague. These three experienced deans will share cases and vignettes that will be familiar to college and university deans, as well as their own lessons learned and ideas for creating the relationships you want with the faculty in your college, school or division.
Hanna Erpestad, Dean, Liberal Arts and Sciences, Lake Superior College
Jeralyn Jargo, Vice President of Advancement and Innovation (and former dean of business, nursing, health), Century College
Ralph Townsend, Dean of the College of Liberal Arts, Winona State University
REGISTER at http://mnscu.webex.com/training under “Live Sessions,” and choose this session.
The flyer also provides a webinar schedule through July. Let me know if you’d like to recommend a facilitator (this could include you) for one of the upcoming sessions.
See you there!
