Staffing Announcement – Program Director of Faculty and Instructional Development

KAJohnson 2012We are pleased to announce the appointment of Kimberly Johnson as the Program Director of Faculty and Instructional Development in the Educational Innovations Unit of Academic and Student Affairs, system office. She will begin these duties on July 1, 2015.

Kimberly has broad experience in faculty development, teaching and collaboration. Most recently, she served as Director of Adult Learning at St. Catherine with responsibilities across associates, baccalaureate, and graduate degree programs. In this role, she consulted with faculty on curriculum and programming, led data-informed faculty development initiatives and built degree program partnerships. Prior to this, she served as Director for the Adult Basic Education Teaching and Learning Advancement System (ATLAS) where she managed multiple professional development projects for instructors and administrators across Minnesota. Kimberly has taught graduate courses on second language acquisition and professional development for practitioner research as well as undergraduate courses in literature and writing for multilingual students. She has consulted nationally on topics of evidence-based professional development, workplace readiness, and postsecondary completion.

Kimberly has a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction and a M.A. in English as a Second Language from the University of Minnesota. Her B.A. is in English from the State University of New York at Brockport.
