Legislative Briefs and Follow-up Actions

CAOs and CSAOs,

Following for your information are legislative briefs compiled by Pakou Yang, System Director of P-20 and College Readiness, and Jessica Espinoza, Coordinator of College Transitions, summarizing legislative action during the 2015 session relative to the following areas:

1. PSEO

2. Concurrent Enrollment

3. Developmental Education

4. K-12 College Readiness and Assessment

Each brief summarizes the legislative changes in that particular area and identifies follow-up actions for campuses and ASA staff driven by the legislation.

Please note that there are specific actions that campus staff and ASA staff will need to take over the coming weeks and months. Later today Pakou Yang will also share these briefings with appropriate staff on your campus. It is my understanding that she has been providing updates on these pieces of legislation throughout the session, so this information should be familiar.
