On July 27 and 28, in conjunction with the Winona State University’s College of Business and the Great River Shakespeare Festival, WSU’s Adult & Continuing Education (ACE) department is hosting Center Stage Leadership—Persuasion and Influence for Leaders. In this two-day workshop, participants will discover and practice the most powerful of Shakespeare’s rhetorical techniques—then apply them to contemporary business practice. The workshop is facilitated by David Mann, a highly-respected actor, director, trainer and speaker who has worked with many Fortune 500 companies, with additional support by several of the GRSF actors. THIS IS NOT AN ACTING CLASS!
Executives and emerging leaders will develop their ability to influence change, motivate teams, and represent their organizations with persuasive power. They will gain new skills to tell a story that influences outcomes.
We envision the Center Stage Leadership program to become the premier leadership training of its kind in the Upper Midwest. Each participant will have an opportunity to test the performance techniques of live theater found in Shakespeare within the context of contemporary communication and presentation skills.
