Given the recent Internal Audit report on education abroad programs, the system office has budgeted to cover the system-wide membership into FY17. Our system membership in the Forum on Education Abroad was initiated in 2014 with the intent of evaluating interest in ongoing membership in spring 2016 and, if warranted, developing a means for prorating the membership rate back to system institutions. In extending and covering the cost of membership for another year, the hope is that the audit report will encourage system colleges and universities to fully utilize the extensive resources available through the Forum, including the following-
- Access to the toolboxes for Standards of Good Practice for Education Abroad which includes materials contributed by member institutions to aid you in implementing the Standards
- Access to the Curriculum Cooperative, an online resource center containing education abroad course and program profiles
- Discounts on the Annual Forum Conference; regional workshops, and webinars and the Forum’s quality improvement program
