Proposals for D2L Minnesota Connection Conference due February 17

Faculty and technical staff are invited to submit a proposal to present at the regional D2L Minnesota Connection Conference on April 21, 2017 at Normandale Community College. Proposals are due February 17. https://www.d2l.com/events/regional/minnesota/call-for-proposals/

Highlights of the conference include: * Keynote speaker, John Baker, D2L President and CEO * Presentations by Faculty and Technical Staff * Awards for Innovation, Collaboration and Impact Awards nominations (deadline February 28) can be submitted at: http://www.asa.mnscu.edu/educationalinnovations/LE/MN20Connections/igniteawards.html

This conference is a great opportunity to showcase innovative ideas and practices that faculty can share with their colleagues, and for participants to learn about ways to enhance their use of D2L and other academic technologies. Session topics encompass techniques and tools in D2L that can be used to engage and assess students, and even make learning fun.

Bonus: D2L Minnesota Connection Conference participants are also invited to the Shark Tank (Innovation Funding) event the night before from 5:00-8:00 pm at the Sheraton Hotel in Bloomington. All are welcomed to hear the latest pitches to fund leading edge work at our colleges and universities. Here’s a sneak peek from last year’s event. https://mediaspace.mnscu.edu/media/0_sbphjk1x/

Two great events, back-to-back. Please get the word out to faculty and staff at your schools.
