January 22, 2018 deadline approaching for Innovation Funding! Submit your proposals soon!

Minnesota State seeks to support student, faculty, and staff innovation that shows great potential for improving teaching, learning, and access for students across its 37 colleges and universities. Please see the official Call for Proposals..

Faculty, staff, and student innovators are invited to apply to either of two innovation funding tracks. Track 1 offers funds up to $25,000; Track 2 offers funds up to $10,000.

In the spirit of the television show “Shark Tank,” selected track 1 innovators will be invited to compete for up to $25,000 by pitching their innovative practice or process to an “investor panel” (students, Minnesota State educators, business and non-profit community members). In preparation for the pitch, individuals or teams will complete a Pitch Documentation packet for the panel to review in advance and will be offered presentation coaching to help them prepare for the pitch.

Track 2 innovators are invited to apply for up to $10,000 to pilot, enhance, or sustain an innovation project.

All students, faculty, and staff who are currently enrolled in or employed by a Minnesota State college or university are eligible to submit an Intention to Pitch by January 22, 2017 for consideration.
