THANK YOU to everyone who participated in or attended the first annual Minnesota State Day at the Capitol yesterday. Even the cold weather couldn’t keep people from learning about the great things the Minnesota State 30 colleges and 7 universities are doing for students and the people of Minnesota.
Due to the weather, the Senate has canceled committee hearings scheduled for today. In the House, a few committee agendas have been modified, but meetings will go on today as scheduled.
The House Higher Education Finance and Policy Committee is scheduled to meet at 2:30 p.m. today and will hear from the Minnesota Council on Latino Affairs, Lead MN regarding their vision, mission, goals and challenges, and will learn about how the federal shutdown impacted higher education.
Both the House and Senate are expected to be back tomorrow, with a Senate floor session scheduled at 11:00 a.m. The House is scheduled to be in session at 3:30 p.m.
