Attend the virtual ePortfolio Community of Practice Summer Showcase on June 10-11, 2019, where 13 Minnesota State faculty members will present their use of D2L’s ePortfolio tool.
Minnesota State faculty and staff have had access to D2L’s ePortfolio tool since June of 2018. The tool allows students to present a collection of their work, which can be used for a wide variety of reasons, such as creating a portfolio to be used for prospective employment or to demonstrate mastery of learning outcomes.
During the last academic year, 13 Minnesota State faculty members joined an ePortfolio Community of Practice (CoP) where members came together to study, learn, and share their ePortfolio plans. Members of the CoP have given amazing effort, time, and pedagogical wisdom in their use of the ePortfolio, exploring the tool’s unique uses that prove to be beneficial to students and faculty interested in using the tool.
The CoP explored the ePortfolio tool in a wide variety of courses,
• First Year Experience
• Read/Write College Prep
• Communications Studies
• Agribusiness Management
• Business, Marketing, and Marketing Communications
• Credit for Prior Learning Management
• Graduate scholarship courses in Nursing
• Creative Writing
• Special Education
In addition to hearing from members of the CoP, the ePortfolio Community of Practice Summer Showcase will also include a brief introduction to the tool, high level evaluation of the tool from users, and a demonstration of a completed ePortfolio.
Join the virtual ePortfolio Community of Practice Summer Showcase on June 10, from 12:15 pm – 4:15 pm, and June 11, from 9:00 am – 2:30 pm, via Adobe Connect at no cost to Minnesota State faculty.
