NED Resource Site Launches

This month we are launching the Network for Educational Development (NED) Resource Site. This is an exciting milestone as we will have a single location to access the Events Calendar supplemental materials, recordings, topical content, and conversations. The NED Resource Site can be accessed by Minnesota State employees and students using an Office 365 account. Click here to access the NED Resource Site.
What does this mean for you? You can explore specific resources about the what, value, and how or various evidence-based strategies and approaches to effective teaching and learning. You can read about real applications in the classroom from Minnesota State faculty, make connections to integrating technology & supporting equity and inclusion, and access research, web links, and other relevant resources.
Additionally, these pages provide a link to a discussion area where you can ask questions, share resources, and network around your areas of interest. Get involved! We have an opportunity to learn together, share knowledge, and connect.
Campus Faculty Development Teams
Previously known as the Faculty Developer’s Network, the renamed Campus Faculty Development Teams will have their first meeting of the academic year on Thursday, December 12 at 11:00 am – 12:00 pm. This kick-off meeting will include introductions, opportunities, updates, and a brief presentation from a fellow faculty development individual or team. Spring meetings will be held on the 4th Tuesday of each month, 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm.
Campus Faculty Development Teams may include one person from a campus or a full team in a Center for Teaching and Learning. A calendar appointment will be sent to the Faculty Development listserv. Join the listserv by sending a blank email to:
facdev-subscribe-request@lists.minnstate.edu.
You might be wondering about why the name changed. This change is to help eliminate confusion between the Faculty Development Committee which reports to the Academic Affairs Council, the Network for Educational Development, and the Faculty Developer’s Network. The change is to better capture the faculty and staff who are engaged in leading faculty development or wanting to facilitate faculty development on their campuses. The goal is to connect and network with other faculty development leaders about process, ideas, and best practices.
