The 4th Annual OER Librarian’s Workshop Day has been reconfigured into a virtual format and presents two entry points for engagement based on background knowledge and experience in OER:
OER Discovery and Introduction to Advocacy
Friday, September 18, 2020
8:30 am – 12:00 pm
This virtual event is for librarians who are new to OER and related resources. Participants will spend time discovering how to find OER and items with ancillary materials, in addition to gaining familiarity with Creative Commons Licenses. Additionally, participants will learn from established OER faculty-library relationships about how to initiate engagement with faculty and OER. This workshop is intended to be both informative and actionable including time to engage in activities that can be implemented or shared on campus at the end of the session.
OER Next Steps: Advocacy and Integration
Friday, October 9, 2020
8:30 am – 12:00 pm
This virtual event is for librarians who have already been introduced to OER and have attempted to engage faculty with OER. This workshop is a great next step for librarians who attended the first entry point: OER Discovery and Introduction to Advocacy. Faculty, Instructional Designers, and D2L Campus Administrators & Trainers who are interested in OER should also attend. This workshop is intended to be both informative and actionable, including time to engage in activities that can be implemented or shared on campus at the end of the session.
