Showing Intentionality – Being Direct About Credit for Prior Learning
February 15, 2024
2:00 to 3:30 p.m.
Virtual
Please join a special Ask C-PLAN session moderated by Dr. Christopher Johnson, Minnesota State Community and Technical College State Director of Credit for Prior Learning, on showing intentionality with credit by prior learning (CPL) by being direct.

Frequently, in higher education, we encounter that although we have set up solid processes and policies, we often lack in the use of preparatory tools and planning for students. Implemented intentionally, CPL preparatory tools, tied to processes, help students reflect on, identify, and recognize past learning experiences that may be appropriate for submission for CPL assessments.
This session will start the discussion of how we introduce the formalities of CPL not only to the student audience, but to the faculty and staff as well. The webinar will run from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., with 30 minutes set aside afterwards for discussion.
