Creative Commons Certificate Course for Librarians and Educators
Minnesota State will support up to ten seats for the Creative Commons Certificate for librarians or educators for each of the upcoming ten-week sessions. The certificate is an in-depth course about Creative Commons licenses, open practices, and the ethos of the Commons.
OER Community Conversations: Learn from Minnesota State colleagues
OER Community Conversations are open forum conversations for all to share, discuss, and learn from colleagues in the Minnesota State OER community. The next OER Community Conversation "Bring Ideas to Life: Create, Animate, Express!" will be held October 8, 2025.

Announcing New Z-Degree Awardees
Z-degrees are a complete associate or bachelor’s degree program that exclusively use course resources that are no cost to students. With these additions, eleven (11) Minnesota State campuses currently offer Z-degrees and sixteen (16) are in process of exploring or implementing Z-degrees.

Register for the Effordability Summit, held April 7-8, 2025. A call for proposals is open through February 24. Minnesota State employees whose proposal is accepted will be eligible to apply for travel support of up to $500.
