Accessible Word Documents: Five Habits That Make Course Materials Easier to Use (Summer 2026)

Accessible Word documents do not have to be complicated. This session will focus on five practical habits that make course materials easier for students to navigate and use: headings, lists, descriptive links, images and alt text, and the built-in accessibility checker. We’ll look at examples and discuss how small changes in everyday documents can improve clarity, usability, and accessibility.
